Join Us for Interfaith Deep Dialogues: Webinar #5!
Have you ever felt like you don’t belong somewhere… or felt like you really DO belong somewhere?
In our event, “In Deep Dialogue #5 of 6,” we’ll be exploring what it really means to be in community and, even more, what people mean when they speak about “Beloved Community”. Is that just an old fashioned religious phrase or is it still relevant in 2024?
Where does the term “Beloved Community” come from?
What is the ultimate purpose of “Beloved Community”?
What’s has been your best community experience to date?
Our panel of community experts is drawn from three continents, and diverse backgrounds:
David Karchere is Spiritual Director of the Emissaries, a global spiritual organisation. He heads up one of the oldest intentional communities in the United States.
Rosemary Shapiro-Liu is from Sydney, Australia and has built a worldwide online community based on simple daily activities to stay mentally and physically healthy.
Steven Dias Pires from the Netherlands is a youth leader and facilitator with ‘Kleurrijk Segbroek‘, and has over 10 years experience with different youth groups and designing youth camps and youth exchanges.
Rev Nima Taylor heads a Unitarian community in Cape Town, South Africa, and has worked consciously to model and teach radical, intentional inclusivity – with some surprising results.
